LV SWITCHGEAR

LV Switchgear is at the forefront of Burnell Control, with each individual project being assigned an engineer to ensure that the bespoke panel is designed best to suit our client’s requirements. From supplying power across a multi tenancy office block to platforms across the London Underground, we have experience spanning four decades and facilities across two factories to provide a solution.

There are numerous options for the panel which the engineer will need to determine to make best use of the space provided in the proposed switchroom. To achieve this our engineers work alongside clients to establish if there are any factors that need to be considered in the panel design. A site survey may be carried out to ensure that the split sections of the switchgear are suitably sized for the install process, and to check the incoming/outgoing cable location and sizes for glanding and connection chambers. Using this information, our engineers work with our CAD department to produce the drawings that suit our client’s requirements. We begin manufacturing when the client is happy with the layout and the drawings are approved.

Standard panel construction options;

Fully welded/modular pattern enclosure

Front/rear access

Top/bottom cable entry/exit

Up to 6300 A fully type tested busbar arrangement

Up to Form 4 Type 7 (Guide to forms of separation)

We can also incorporate power factor correction units within the panel. Our PLC engineer can produce PLC/Scada interfacing controls and if required, thermal imaging barriers can be fitted to sections.
