Challenge

As of 1st April 2015 the Renewables Obligation Scheme and Feed-in Tariff Scheme are only applicable to solar farms with a total installed capacity below 5MW. As the majority of the proposed sites for the solar season were to sit at the limit of these schemes we were able to produce template drawing sets for the various different configurations, and effectively standardise our EOP and substation containers for the solar season.
Success

Burnell Switchgear & Control designed and produced containerised substations to suit solar farms of various sizes located all over Great Britain. All equipment is running correctly and electricity is successfully being generated for the grid.
